Small supermarket 10 min walk & large supermarket 10 min drive on the way to Châtel. Superb range of restaurants and cafés within La Chapelle d’Abondance. The excellent artisan boulangerie ‘Le Fournil’ is open ‘all’ hours and is located at only a 5 min walk from Penthouse Caribou. Le Fournil is fully stocked with all essentials including milk and bread, fruit and vegetables and butter and cream. Village notices are displayed on the door and friendly staff are more than happy to serve you warm croissants in the morning.
How to get to Penthouse Caribou
The closest airport to La Chapelle d’Abondance is Geneva Airport. Served by all the main airlines and the discount airlines too, getting to Penthouse Caribou couldn’t be easier. Onwards transfers can be arranged and take 90 minutesBy Train
To arrive by train, the closest stations are Aigle in Switerland and Thonon-Les-Bains in Francey Car
La Chapelle d’Abondance is approximately 850 km from Calais. The drive takes around 9 hrs from the Eurotunnel/Ferry Terminal to Penthouse Caribou. Péage tolls will vary depending on the route.
Renting a car is very easy; Avis, Hertz & Europcar all operate from Geneva and special offers are often promoted through the airlines.
